Celebrate the year of the rabbit!
Sunday, February 6~ 11:00AM-2:45PM Kick off the Chinese New Year with a lion dance in front of China Institute at 11AM and join us for an exciting day of celebration, including lion mask making, dumpling making as well as holiday food tasting. Lion dance (For all ages) Greet the Year of the Rabbit with a traditional Chinese lion dance. The lion dance will be held on East 65th Street, outside of China Institute. Sunday, February 6~ 11AM-12PM FREE Lion Mask-Making workshop (For children ages 5-10) Join us to learn more about the history of the Chinese New Year lion dance celebration and have fun making your own lion mask! Sunday, February 6 Session 1~ 12:15- 1:15 Session 2~ 1:45-2:45 Dumpling making workshop (For children ages 5 and older) Come to experience this time-honored tradition for Chinese New Year, wrap your own dumplings and then eat the results!
