Dear Friends,

It isn't too late to register for "TCFA Toast to Art, an evening with GU Wenda", a unique TCFA/NYU CSSA joint reception on Tuesday May 25th at NYU's Kimmel Center from 6.30 - 8.30pm. Free cocktails and snacks will be provided. There will be networking opportunities with Mr. Gu, guests, other members and TCFA senior executives.

This event is held to celebrate TCFA's 16th anniversary in the spirit of creativity and innovation. We are extremely pleased that Mr. Gu Wenda is able to join us. Born and raised in Shanghai, he now lives in New York and Shanghai , Gu Wenda is recognized as “the most celebrated of a new generation of avant-garde artists who emerged from China”. He has been featured in BBC in Britain , PBS in America , CCAC in China , and numerous other broadcasting, television and print media. And his artwork has been collected around the world. Still, Gu said that he wants “art to infiltrate people's lives instead of staying in the museum or collector's warehouse”. His latest solo exhibition opened this month in Shanghai is entitled “ China Park - A Unique Chinese Ecological Utopia”. It is a model of future city planning, a part of his large-scale green calligraphy landscape art project.

Registration fees are $15 for professionals and $5 for students with valid IDs. We were able to bring the costs down significantly, but seats are limited. Registration will be closed on May 24th at 5pm due to the positive responses, so PLEASE REGISTER at our website <www.tcfaglobal. org> AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you plan to attend. Please note that there will be no artworks for sale at the reception.

We look forward to seeing you at this very special event in TCFA’s life.
