Job Description:
Principal responsibilities of an analyst include the preparation of analytical reports based on direct access to issuer senior management as well as on public information; presentation to internal rating committees, liaising with issuers, investors and intermediaries such as investment banks. An analyst will represent Dagong at issuer and investor meetings write report and presentation to the credit committee.
Essential Accountabilities:

 Review all relevant laws and regulations, legal opinions and documents relating to the issue as well as conduct in-depth quantitative credit risk analysis.
 Applying Dagong’s Rating Methodology to analyze the financial risk and the business risk profiles, management strategy risk.
 Perform credit analysis by demonstrating the ability to understand and identify key factors that affect an issuer's credit rating.
 Write credit analysis reports and attend meetings and interact with senior management of corporations to obtain information upon which to base credit rating decisions.
 Publish analysis and research under deadline pressure.
 Present findings, opinions, and clear rationales to a credit rating committee.
 Maintain surveillance of rated issues.
 Cooperating closely with analysts across Financial Institutions, Insurance, and other practices (e.g. Structured Finance, Public Finance, and Corporate ratings teams) where applicable.
 Perform periodic portfolio reviews in conjunction with the rest of the team.
 Attending seminars, trainings and other events related to project efforts.
 Interacting and communicating with a wide range of market participants, including rated companies, bankers, investors, journalists regarding Daong’s credit ratings and industry views.
 Share specific analytical expertise, any useful know how, and ideas to improve group operations.
 Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
 In addition to the core analytical responsibilities, the successful candidate will represent Dagong Ratings and policy in a highly professional manner.
 Prepare commentaries/papers on areas of expertise for publication.
 Identify own learning and development needs for current and future development.
 Performs related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
 Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in business, math, economics, or finance considered an advantage. Certifications in PMP, CFA, CPA would be desirable.
 Have significant credit analysis experience gained within a bank, fund manager or rating agency.
 Analytical experience in financial markets is a strong advantage.
 Have strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts.
 Understanding the role of rating agencies in credit markets.
 Ability to collate information into reasoned arguments and proficient at writing analytical reports.
 Have the ability to prioritize competing tasks, comply with deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy at all times.
 Detailed knowledge in financial affairs and assets evaluation. Familiar with laws and regulations on assets and debt reorganization.
 Broad and deep understanding of relevant industries/ systems / banks (including economic risk, accounting standards.
 Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English, and the ability to coordinate with multiple people and / or groups.
 Expected to ultimately know how to answer client queries and communicate (customer focus) resolutions clearly and effectively.
